Get lost in the beauty of the PNW wonderland that is Ruby Beach. Nestled on the coast of Washington State, Ruby beach boasts giant rock formations that break the powerful force of the Pacific Ocean tide. I took this photo with my best friend laughing in the background, a memory which I think offers such a contrast to the gloomy shores of Olympic National Park. Every time I look at it, I hear her laugh and think of the paradox of life, that there must be gloomy days to make the sunshine that much sweeter.
