A classic, and so easy to make. You'll kick that Campbell's to the curb. (Sorry, Campbell's, you'll always have a place in my heart.)

Before I start, I want to just say, I wish I had a more healthy recipe for y'all, but to paraphrase and alter an Anthony Bourdain quote, "A life without heavy cream, butter, and cheese, is a life not worth living. "
So with that, The recipe and directions:
YOU WILL NEED:
-A chopped yellow onion
-A tablespoon of minced garlic -A stick of butter
-2-3 heirloom tomatos
-2 handfulls of fresh basil
-4 cups of chicken broth
-1/4 to a 1/2 cup of sugar, depending on how sweet you like things.
- A cup of cream -24oz of Tomato Juice
-Salt or Bouillon

DIRECTIONS:
Melt butter and add desired spices, salt, and chopped onion. Let reduce until a desired consistency. Later add garlic and a handful of fresh basil, ripped or chopped up. Add tomatoes, and let reduce. Add sugar and let tomatoes absorb sugar. Next, Add 1 cub of chicken broth and cream. Let boil, then add tomato juice. Bring to boil, then add additional handful of fresh basil. Top with sharp cheddar or crushed saltines.

Makes really good lunches and dinners for a whole week.

Don't forget the grilled cheese!
Happy cooking!
